Anonymous Feedback For Businesses That Care.

Q: Why Don’t You Get More Complaints?

A: Because your customers complain with their feet.

If you’re lucky they’ll only disappear & tell a few friends.

If you’re unlucky you will get a bad Google review that lasts forever.

Frequently Asked Questions

We already have QR codes for food ordering. Can you integrate to that?

Yes. We just use our QR code and if you want to order food, you can do the same as before. Your table number can even follow you. You can then use the same link to give feedback later if you wish. Only one notice per table, one QR code to use. No confusion.

Can my customer get an answer to his feedback?

Yes. Every form has a place for the client to tell you their contact details IF THEY WANT. You can then respond directly to them. It’s anonymity with choice. The best sort in our opinion.

What is anonymous feedback?

Anonymous feedback are the comments made by anyone wishing to tell another what they think or what they feel about something they have experienced. For example: I would want to give my employer anonymous feedback if my experience with them had not been entirely positive. Another example: I want to tell my favourite restaurant owner that there is not enough toilet roll in the restrooms and it is embarrassing to ask for more. The person or the firm receiving the anonymous feedback would be sad to hear such negative feedback, but pleased to hear the facts, so they can do something about it. People often do not like to give negative feedback, so anonymous feedback is required. People receiving negative feedback often like to remove such discussions from public gaze, until they have reacted to it and can improve the situation.

What is private anonymity?

This is where you give truly anonymous feedback and the feedback you give is kept private for ONLY the recipient to read. The recipient doesn’t have any way to see who you are and your comments do not get seen or read by anyone else. This level of feedback is the most honest, most useful feedback a business can get and should be encouraged at all costs.

Can anonymous feedback be traced?

If the platform is designed properly, so that no IP addresses and no cookies are used to track respondents, then no, anonymous feedback cannot be traced back to any one individual. However, if such feedback was time stamped, and if the respondent was the only person with the feedback URL at that time, it could be possible. Wisper anonymous feedback has no way to track who said what. We have gone out of our way to make it truly anonymous, to gain the trust of respondents in the hope they will leave honest feedback without fear of recrimination.

How to anonymise feedback?

Many online forms can be used to create anonymous feedback such as Jotform, Typeform and google forms however, making them available easily and creating an environment where attachments can be added if required is more complicated. Services such as Wisper make anonymous feedback forms quick and easy to use at a fraction of the price you would pay for these other services.

Should feedback at work be anonymous?

Yes. why not? Employees are much more likely to say honest feedback if they cannot be traced. One thing people often overlook is the need to add a place on the form, where respondents can (if they want) leave their details. This is particularly good where anonymous feedback is given, but the respondent feels its more important to know IF the feedback has been acted on, than to keep anonymity.

How do you respond to anonymous feedback?

Don’t take it personally. Focus on the facts. Separate the useful feedback from the useless. Use the information given to improve yourself or your service. Ignore feedback you disagree with or find annoying or intimidating. Do not be a people pleaser for the sake of it. Only act on feedback that will improve you or your service. If you undertake significant work to improve things following feedback, tell everyone you can that the improvements have been made following useful feedback…. You will be surprised how this information drives more and more feedback.

Can I leave an anonymous review?

Yes. But remember, anonymous reviews are only useful if they are intended for the company or person you are reviewing. Any other review done anonymously is useless. Anonymous Google reviews are often disregarded by others as the original intent cannot be established by the reader. Remember: Don’t say anything to others unless you say something nice, but keep you other comments for the person or business you are talking about. This not only makes you a nicer person, but helps all involved.

What is the difference between anonymous and confidential feedback?

If you are told your feedback is “confidential” it is a promise from the recipient not to disclose your feedback or the fact you have offered feedback to others. Knowing this you would make a judgement as to the trustworthiness of the recipient and give your feedback (or not). Anonymous feedback is where you know beyond all doubt that whatever you say can never be tracked back to you in any way.

What is the power of anonymous feedback?

Anonymous feedback is most often far more honest than other feedback. If the respondent has no way to influence anyone other than the recipient and if the respondent feels confident enough to speak or write without ego, then this feedback is MOST useful.

Can I hide my name on Google reviews?

Yes. You can change your name but this will not mean your comments will be entirely anonymous. Also note that people pay much less attention to anonymous reviews and they are only really useful to the person you are reviewing.

How do I set up anonymous feedback?

To do it using JotForm or Typeform is easy enough, but to do it so it is easy for people to use is (obviously) harder. Also, you should ask yourself what additional information (that makes the feedback more useful) can you collect and still keep the review anonymous. Attaching photos and files to google forms for instance, requires a log in of some sort and this, obviously, breaks the anonymity.

Can you investigate an anonymous complaint?

Of course. Yes. The only thing you cannot investigate is who left the complaint. Otherwise it would not have been truly anonymous. Investigating the grounds of a complaint, the validity of the complaint and how it occurred are essential.

Why is Wisper better than Google reviews?

It’s not! There is nothing better than a 5 star Google review! If you think every customer will leave one for you, then you don’t need Wisper. But we all know that is not the case. See this article in this link that tells you about how customers in UK react when they get good and bad service. Do you know how hard it is to get rid of, or hide a 1 star Google review? It takes months of hard work to get it removed or buried in better reviews. A 1-star review can cripple your business. A4-star review is not much better. If you can’t get 5-stars on Google, keep your customers away from it. The mantra is: “If you love our business tell everybody, if you don’t tell us”! Managing this process properly is what the best businesses do. The idea is to see if the feedback is positive first, then ask for a Google review later if the customer agrees to leave a 5-star review.

How do I get my customers to leave nice reviews?

If your customer has received a poor service from your establishment or even if they just feel you can do things better, then this sort of feedback on Wisper is GREAT! But only if you know about it and only if you react to it positively. The whole word “Wisper” gives you a clue. (I know it’s spelt differently), Your customer doesn’t want to hurt you, they just want to “Wisper in your ear” . You get to design your feedback form yourself. Wisper specialises in ANONYMOUS feedback, but you can leave a section where your customer can (if they want) leave their contact details. So, fix the problem, invite them back, ask if they are happy, invite them to leave a 5-star review if they are.

Is Wisper complicated?

No. We hate complicated systems. So does your average customer. Its as simple to use as this. Assuming your customer has a mobile phone and can write using a keyboard. 1. See QR code. 2. Open camera on phone and point at it. 3. Click yellow link that appears. 4. Start tying. Click “submit”. 5. There is no number five!

How do I see my Wisper feedback?

You know its there because you get an email. Then you click a link to view your feedback and any pictures or photos attached to it in a Google sheet.

What should I do about my Wisper feedback?

It’s up to you. Read it, decide what to do. Ignore it if you want or act to make things better. If your customer has chosen to leave their contact details, you can tell them when the issue is fixed and take them on the journey to 5-start Google heaven.

Is Wisper worth £10 a month?

What is the LTV (lifetime Value) of a customer? calculate this, then you tell me if ONE customer pays for it or not? Here: Let me help you. What is the average spend of a customer visit? Let’s say £20 shall we? How often does a regular customer come? Let’s assume once per week? How long would a customer keep coming back? Well for many years, but let’s just calculate with 5 years? What is the revenue you would lose if this person walked away? It’s £20 X 52 X 5 and that is: £5,200. Now you tel me if you can see yourself saving the loss of just ONE customer? What happens if you save the loss of one per week? The value is obvious. If this is not a no-brainer to you, then I don’t know what would be!

Who provides the Wisper service?

Wisper comes to you from one of the UK leading IT companies. Zway was formed in 2012 to provide business process automation for enterprises and smaller businesses alike. Since then it has built an unrivalled reputation for security and quality and compete head-on with the likes of Microsoft in the field of ERP. There should be no question in your mind about the quality of the solutions or the quality of support Zway can provide.

What do I get for the £249 set-up fee?

Your Wisper service is set up for you. You need to do nothing more than send us a copy of your logo. Then we create your personalised forms and publish them as a URL and as a QR code. We then help you to add the URL to your website, so all customers can leave feedback wherever they are. The stickers are personalised with your own message and your own logo making the whole Wisper experience look as if it’s your service.
